course of true love never did run smooth.

gs base and vile, holding no quantity, love can transpose to from and dignity: love looks not with the eyes, but with mind.

lunatic, the lover and the poet are of imagination all compact.

you your father should be as a god, one that composed your beauties and one to whom you are but as a form in him imprinted or within his power to leave the figure or not.

tongue’s sweet air more tuneable than lark to shepherd’s ear. When wheat is green, when hawthorn buds appear.

5.l frown upon he loves me still.

6.O,that your frowns would teach my smiles such skill.

draw me,you hard_heated yet you draw not iron, for my heart is as true as steel.

9. It’s not night when l do see your face.

10.l will run from thee and leave thee to the mercy of the wild beasts.

wildest hath not such a heart as you.

dove pursues the griffin, and the mild hind makes speed to catch the tiger. Bootless speed, when cowardice pursues and valour flies.

say the truth, reason and love keeps little company together nowadays:the more the pity that some neighbours will not make them friends.

s in blood,plunge in deep.

sun was not so true unto the day as he to me.

fate errules, that one man holding troth, A million fail, confounding oath on oath.

vows to her and me,put in two scales, will even weigh, and both as light as tales.

looks not with the eyes, but with the mind; And therefore is winged Cupid painted hathlove’s mind any judgement taste, wings and no eyes figure unheedy haste, and therefore is love said to be a child.

earthly happier is the rose distilled Than that which, withering on the virgin thorn Grows, lives,  and dies in single blessedness.

20. Ah me! for aught that ever I could read, Could ever hear by tale or history, The course of true love never did run smooth.
