Students in their final year at junior high and senior high schools in Beijing are scheduled to return to school on May 11 and April 27, respectively, as in-school education for the spring semester has been suspended due to the novel coronavirus epidemic.

目前春季學期的學校教育因新冠病毒疫情暫停，北京高三年級將於4月27日返校，初三年級將於5月11日開學。

北京市教委新聞發言人李奕在上週日舉行的新聞發佈會上宣佈了這一消息，同時表示，北京高考（college entrance examination）時間爲7月7日至10日。今年北京中考（entrance examination for high school）時間確定爲7月17日至19日。
李奕表示，高三初三年級學生要提前兩週（two weeks in advance）返京，學校幹部、教職員工（school staff members and teachers）和必要行政工勤人員應至少提前10天到崗。
近期未離京並連續14天居家觀察且無症狀的師生員工，可返校（return to school）開學。近期從境外、京外返京的師生員工，須居家或集中醫學觀察（14-day home or integrated quarantine）14天且核酸檢測陰性（negative result in nucleic acid testing）後，方可返校開學。
中小學其他各年級（other grades）的返校，以及中職學校、高等學校和幼兒園（kindergartens）、特殊教育學校（special education schools）的返校將另行考慮。
貴州初高三學生（students in their final year at junior high and senior high schools）已於三月中旬（mid-March）返校。
上週五，貴州省教育局宣佈，初高中非畢業班（non-graduating classes）學生4月28日作開學準備。本科高校（含研究生）和高職院校非畢業年級、小學（primary schools）、幼兒園，5月中旬後視情況再確定開學時間（school dates）。
