據臺灣聯合新聞網報道，中國著名詩人余光中在週四過世，享年90歲。

【講解】

well-known poet是著名詩人。
余光中因腦中風（stroke）和肺部感染（pulmonary infection）入院治療，14日上午10點04分因呼吸衰竭（respiratory failure）過世。
余光中是著名文學家（litterateur）、詩人和散文家（proser），1928年出生於南京，祖籍福建永春，1948年隨父母遷香港，次年赴臺。余光中從事文學創作（literary creation）超過半個世紀，馳譽海內外，是當代詩壇健將、散文重鎮、著名批評家（critic）和優秀翻譯家（translator）。一曲《鄉愁》在全球華人世界（ethnic Chinese around the world）引發強烈共鳴（resonance）。
