紅色意味着暫停。但是在北京，行人通常對紅燈不太重視。今後，北京將對闖紅燈的行人進行罰款，普通行人罰款10元，騎自行車闖紅燈罰款20元。北京西城區交通警察分隊副主任王安國說道：“爲了提高過馬路的秩序，今後我們要對違反交通規則、不聽警察勸導的行人進行處罰。”
