A senior Chinese military official committed suicide on Thursday morning after coming under investigation from disciplinary watchdogs over bribery allegations, it was reported on Tuesday.

週四消息，一名軍隊高級別官員因涉嫌行賄接受紀檢部門調查，這名官員於週四早上自殺身亡。

據新華社報道，66歲的張陽在接受調查期間於家中自縊死亡（hang himself at home）。
張陽是中央軍委（Central Military Commission）原委員、中央軍委政治工作部（Political Work Department）原主任。
張陽是中央軍委首位自殺身亡的委員，同時也是自殺身亡（take their own life）的最高級別軍官（highest-ranking officer）。
2017年8月28日，經黨中央批准，中央軍委決定對張陽進行組織談話，調查（investigate）覈實其涉郭伯雄、徐才厚等案問題線索，郭徐二人均爲軍委原副主席（former vice-chairmen），經調查犯腐敗罪（found guilty of corruption）。
經調查覈實，張陽嚴重違紀違法（severely violated Party regulations and State laws），涉嫌行賄受賄（given and taken bribes）、鉅額財產來源不明犯罪。
中國自開展反腐行動（anti-corruption campaign）以來，全軍先後查處涉嫌嚴重違法違紀軍級以上幹部（officers at the rank of major general or higher）100多名。
