年中國遊客到訪美國人數近300萬

Chinese visitors spent more in the US in 2016 than those from other countries, according to a report from the US Commerce Department.

美國商務部日前發佈的一份報告稱，2016年，中國遊客在美國的消費數額在所有國家的遊客中排名第一。

It shows that the 2.97 million Chinese who visited the US in 2016 spent 33 billion dollars with the number of visitors up 15% and spending up 9% from 2015.

報告顯示，2016年到訪美國的中國遊客達297萬，消費支出330億美元，遊客數量同比增加15%，消費支出同比增加9%。

The US has had 13 consecutive years of growth in arrivals from China, 12 of which were double-digit growth.

到訪美國的中國遊客數量已連續13年增長，其中有12年實現了兩位數增長。

While the number of Chinese visitors increased, overall arrivals in the US decreased by 2% in 2016 and visitor spending dropped by 1%.

雖然中國赴美遊客增加，但2016年美國整體遊客數量減少了2%，遊客消費支出下降了1%。

The report put China at the top in visitor spending, followed by Canada, Mexico, Japan, the UK and India.

該報告指出，中國遊客在美消費支出排名第一，其次是來自加拿大、墨西哥、日本、英國和印度的遊客。

But Chinese visitor arrivals ranked fifth, trailing Canada, Mexico, the UK and Japan.

但中國赴美遊客數量排在加拿大、墨西哥、英國和日本之後，列第五位。

In all, 75.6 million international visitors came to the US in 2016 for business, medical, education and leisure purposes, spending a collective $244.7 billion across the US.

總體來看，2016年共有7560萬海外遊客爲商務、醫療、教育和休閒目的到訪美國，並在全美總計消費了2447億美元。
