In a little town in India called Aat-pat Nagar, there lived a wise Brahmin.

One day, the Brahmin went to the King to ask for alms.

The King generously offered him one hundred rupees,but the Brahmin refused to take any money that the King had to earned through work.
THe King had never worked in his life! He thought of a plan and asked the Brahmin to come BAck in two days.
The next day,The King replaced his robes with a torn, old robe and went to nearby village.

The King asked a man for work, and was told to dig earth for the road.

The King tried hard,but was soon too tired to work anymore. The man gave the King two rupee coin and told him to go home .
The next day the Brahmin came to the place and the King gave him his hard-earned coin.

The Brahmin planted the coin in his garden, where's sprouted and grew into a mighty tree covered shiny rupee coins
A few days later the King's daughters were collecing flowers from all the local gardens and came to visit the Brahmin.
In his garden,they saw the beautiful money-laden tree.
When they told the King about the Brahmin's beautiful rupee tree.
He ordered it to be cut down and brought to him.

But the Brahmin would not to allow it and asked that the King come himself
and take the tree.
The King came and Brahmin told him that the coin had grown into a tree because it had been earned with hard work.
The King felt humbled and went on his way.
The King learned that the fruits of our own hard work grow far greater than anything given to us.
What we give gererously from our own hard work will bring for greater wealth.

幼兒英語故事：The Grateful MouseA lion was sleeping in the field. Suddenly, something fell on the lion's body.
"who dares to wake me up from my sleep?"
The lion jumped up and looked around. However, there was only a small mouse trembling. The lion held the mouse with his paw.
"you little mouse, you dare to wake me. I'll swallow you up."
The mouse trembled and said, ", please forgive me . I slipped......"
"quiet!"
"If you spare me ,l'll repay you. The lion was surprised. "ha, ha,ha,how will a little mouse like you repay me?"
"I meant it, I'll repay you."
"ha, ha, ha, what a funny fellow. Fine, l'll forgive ,don't talk about repaying me,or l'll eat you up."
The lion was so amazed at what the mouse said, he let the mouse go.
One day, a large cry was heard in the woods. The lion was caught in a hunter's net.
"oh, I'm going to die now. I can't believe I'm going to die like this. The mouse appeared in front of the lion. The mouse began gnawing at the net. The net broke and the lion was free.
"Are you alright,
"Hey, you are that mouse."
"I told you, I would definitely repay you. You should not look down on me because I am small.
The lion shamefully hung his head.
幼兒英語故事：What A FriendHerman and Snail were friends, or so Snail thought. Herman was always putting Snail down for moving so slow and being in the back. Snail would not take it to heart. He would simply say, “Slow, but steady.”
Snail was always reminding Herman that, by being in the back, he could watch Herman’s back and warn him about any danger. And that’s what friends are supposed to do. Herman would just cut his eyes(避開XX的目光) at Snail and keep on complaining.
One day, Herman talked snail into(說服)going up on shore at the beach where they lived. Snail didn’t think it was such a good idea, especially since his mother had warned him about his dad being plucked up(叼走) one day by a hungry sea gull while out on the shore.
They never saw him again. Herman just kept on teasing(纏着)Snail. “You just momma’s boy, a momma’s boy. Besides, I’ll be there to watch your back. I’ll let you walk in the front so I can make sure nothing happens to you.” Finally, Snail gave in and they ventured onto the shore.
Just as Snail began to feel a little at ease and started chattering about the sights that he was seeing, he got so excited that he didn’t notice that he was talking by himself.
Then he turned to tell Herman, “Thank you for making such wonderful suggestion,” he saw a huge sea gull coming toward him. Snail, froze righter there. He was so scared that he forgot to duck into his shell for safety.
All of a sudden, he remembered his mother’s warning, but it was too late--the sea gullscooped him up and took him away. Herman was hiding in his hole, watching the whole thing and not saying a word…not even breathing.
Herman waited until it was dark and slowly came out of the hole and made his way back into the waves to go back home. He was working in his mind the story he would tell Snail’s mother explaining what happened to snail.
When Herman had his lie…story together, he went slowly up to Snail’s house and knocked on the door. To his surprise, Snail answered the door. Herman fainted. BAM! When he awakened, Snail and his mother were learning over him.
Herman said, “I thought you were gone forever like your dad. What did that old sea gull do to you?” Snail said, “Nothing. He just talked to me.” “What did he say to you?”
“He asked me, ‘Didn’t your mother ever warn you about the dangers of wanderingoff(徘徊)in the wrong places at the wrong time?’” and I said to him, “Yes sir.”
“That’s all he said to you?” “No. He told me, I need to choose better friends. Goodbye, Herman.”
“Snail what are we dong tomorrow,” said Herman?!
“I don’t know about you Herman, but I’m finding a NEW FRIEND!”
