Although the Obamas and Prince Harry have a famously close relationship, the former first couple might not score an invite to the upcoming royal wedding—and if they don't, Donald Trump will likely be to blame.

According to People, government officials in the U.K. are reportedly encouraging Harry not to invite the Obamas for fear of offending current POTUS Donald Trump (who is unlikely to receive an invitation of his own).

媒體《People》報道，英國政府衆多官員都跟哈里說不要請奧巴馬一家，就擔心會觸怒美國現任總統特朗普（特朗普當然收不到婚禮請柬）。

It remains to be seen if Harry and Meghan Markle will take the advice of government officials, however.

但是哈里和梅根會不會聽從政府官員的建議還有待考究。

According to The Sun, the couple have made it clear that they would like to invite the Obamas to their wedding on May 19.

While Trump was originally scheduled to make an official state visit to the United Kingdom in 2017, the trip was postponed until July of 2018 and has since been downgraded to a "working trip," during which Trump will not meet the Queen.

特朗普本來預計2017年訪問英國，後來訪問被推遲到2018年7月，從國事訪問變成了“工作行”，不會和英國女王碰面。

Of course, being the president of the United States is no guarantee of a royal wedding invitation. In 2011, Obama didn't receive an invitation to William and Kate's wedding (which was considered a state event, while Harry and Meghan's nuptials will not be), even though he was the sitting president at the time.

當上美國總統不一定就能受邀參加王室婚禮。2011年奧巴馬在任時就沒參加過威廉夫婦的婚禮（不同於哈里的婚禮，當時威廉的婚禮屬於國事級別）。

Since the guest list for Harry and Meghan's wedding is being handled by Buckingham Palace, rather than the governmental Department of Culture, Media and Sport (which would be in charge if it were a state event), there's no telling yet if the Obamas will receive a coveted invitation or not.

不過哈里婚禮的賓客名單不在政府文化傳媒運動部手上，而是由白金漢宮全權負責（國事性質的婚禮往往由政府部門負責），還說不準奧巴馬會不會收到邀請呢。
