紐約是比利時人建立的，當時買地只花了1萬塊

你可能知道美國紐約的原名叫“新阿姆斯特丹” New Amsterdam，所以很多人以爲它是荷蘭人建立的。（阿姆斯特丹是荷蘭的首都）

其實這不準確，當時最早促成紐約建城的是一個比利時人，只是他受僱於荷蘭的西印度公司。

紐約現在的房價是真的貴，中心城區曼哈頓更是貴中的貴，如今每平米的均價都到了12萬人民幣，然而當初這名比利時人只花了60荷蘭盾就從土著人手中買下了這塊地，這筆錢只相當於現在的1萬塊人民幣。

New York, the big apple was founded by Belgian, Peter Minuit in 1626. Minuit was appointed an explorer for the Dutch West India Company and went to the Americas in search of tradable goods. Once arriving in the Americas, Minuit was introduced to the local native tribes of the Hudson River area and began interacting with them about the purchasing of the land of Manhattan – today one of New York’s most expensive areas. He purchased the island for the price of 60 guilders – roughly $1,500 in today’s standards.

紐約又被稱爲“大蘋果”，它是由比利時人彼得·米努伊特於1626年建立的。米努伊特被任命爲荷屬西印度公司的考察者，前往美洲物色可買賣的商品。米努伊特一到美洲就被引見給（紐約）哈德遜河周邊的土著部落，並開始與他們商談購買曼哈頓（如今紐約地價最高的地區之一）的地產。他以60荷蘭盾的價格買下了曼哈頓島，按如今的標準來算，大約是1500美元（1萬人民幣）。
