For Vladimir Putin, 2019 is shaping up to be a banner year.

Calendars featuring the Russian strongman president taking a shirtless dip in a hot tub and flexing his muscles at the gym are flying off the shelves in Japan, making it the No. 1 most-purchased planner in the country, according to Japan Today.

據《今日日本》報道，印有俄羅斯鐵腕總統光着膀子在浴缸裏泡熱水澡、在健身房鍛鍊肌肉的日曆在日本熱銷，成爲日本購買量最多的日曆。

The 365-days-of-Putin may look like a gag gift, but it's more popular than calendars featuring some of the Asian island's biggest celebrities -- including television heartthrob Kei Tanaka, whose calendar ranks second in sales, and two-time Olympic figure skating champion Yuzuru Hanyu, who's in third.

The Putin-centric planner is part of a celebrity-themed collection sold by local homewares store Loft, which began selling them three years ago.
