BEIJING - "Striving" and "the 40th anniversary of reform and opening-up" have been respectively chosen as the Chinese Character and Word of the Year 2018 in China, according to a survey released Thursday.

北京消息，週四發佈的一項調查顯示，“奮”與“改革開放四十年”分別當選年度國內字和國內詞。

the 40th anniversary of reform and opening-up是改革開放四十年；Chinese Character of the Year是年度國內字；Chinese Word of the Year是年度國內詞。
“退”（exit）和“貿易摩擦”（trade friction）當選2018年度國際字詞（International Chinese Character and Word of the Year）。
自啓動至今，“漢語盤點2018年”活動共收到網友推薦（recommendation）字詞（characters and words）數千條，投票（vote）量達數十萬
除年度國內國外字詞外，發佈會上還發布了2018年度十大新詞語（the top 10 new words）、十大流行語（buzzwords）、十大網絡用語（cyber words）。中國農民豐收節（harvest festival for Chinese farmers）、中國國際進口博覽會（China International Import Expo）、人類命運共同體（a community with a shared future for humanity）等紛紛入選。
專家表示，這些熱詞新語是社會的反光鏡（reflect the society），是時代的透視機，高度濃縮（epitomize）了一年時間裏的中國和世界風貌，盡現（embody）時代民生民情。
