"123456" and "password", the two easily guessed terms, remain the worst passwords of the year, according to a list released by SplashData, a security applications and services provider, for five consecutive year, reported.

據新浪科技報道，安全應用及服務供應商SplashData最近發佈的一份榜單顯示，兩個容易猜出的密碼“123456”和“password”連續第5年成爲年度最差密碼。

the worst passwords是最差密碼。
SplashData公司對500萬個外泄密碼（leaked passwords）進行分析，找出年度最常使用的密碼（the most frequently used passwords），這些通常也是容易猜出的密碼。
報告指出，今年發生的數據泄露（data leak）事件沒有減少，而且依然有很多人使用弱密碼和容易猜測的密碼（easily predictable passwords）。
上榜最差密碼TOP 100榜單的包括一些簡單的數字（simple numbers）或詞，比如111111、sunshine、princess、666666他654321。
像daniel、hannah和thomas等常見的名字（common names）也屬於弱密碼（weak passwords）。而美國總統唐納德·特朗普的名字（first name）則首次出現在最差密碼榜單中，排名第23位。
SplashData公司首席執行官摩根·斯蘭表示，“黑客（hackers）利用名人名字（celebrity names）、流行文化和體育詞彙（terms from pop culture and sports）以及簡單的鍵盤圖形（simple keyboard patterns）入侵賬戶（break into accounts）非常成功，因爲他們知道，很多人都在使用這些容易記住的組合（easy-to-remember combinations）。”
斯蘭表示，SplashData公司發佈最差密碼榜單是爲了說服人們採取行動，在網上保護自己（protect themselves online）。
他還說到，“所有的風險都是已知的（all the risks known），而且萬豪等事件都被曝光了。人們依舊年復一年（year-after-year）地把自己置於這樣的風險之下（put themselves at such risk），真是讓人頭疼（head-scratcher）。”
SplashData估計（estimate），今年共有近10%的人使用過至少前25個最差密碼中的一個，近3%的人曾經使用過最差密碼“123456”。
該公司建議，一般密碼不應少於（no less than）12個字符，而且字符的類型需要是混合的（mixed characters，混合字符）。每個賬號都應該設置不同的密碼（each account should have a different password）。
