1)向着，方向：

介詞 in 與after的用法區別
1. in 與after 均可表示“在……之後”，與一段時間連用時，after表示以過去時間爲起點的一段時間以後，因此通常與過去時連用。如：
After ten hours under sail, they reached dry land. 在航行10個小時後，他們上了岸。
After many hours of wandering in the forest the lost hikers felt hopeless. 在森林裏瞎走了好幾個小時後，迷路的徒步旅行者絕望了。
2. in 則表示從現在算起的一段時間以後，因此通常用於將來時或含有將來意義的句子。如：
Dinner will be ready in ten minutes. 晚飯10分鐘後準備好。
I’ll meet you downstairs in ten minutes. 10分鐘後我們樓下見。
See you in half an hour or so. 大約半小時後見。
The next programme starts in five minutes: in the meantime, here’s some music. 下一節目五分鐘後開始，現在先播放些音樂。
3. 注意，after除與一段時間連用外，還可與一點時間連用，此時不能用介詞in。注意，這樣用的after也可以用於將來時。如：
I’ll come back after 4 o’clock. 我4點鐘以後回來。
He came back after 4 o’clock. 他是4點種以後回來的。
Don’t stay out after 10 o’clock at night. 晚上10點以後不要在外面逗留。
The town is completely dead after 11 o’clock at night. 這個鎮在晚上 11 點過後就變得就變得死寂一片。
4. 另外，after 可以與某些表示活動的名詞連用，表示“在……之後”，而in不能這樣用。如：
