辨析 talent gift genius

都有天才之意。

genius天才，是這三詞中程度最高的詞。如：

Shakespeare was a man of great genius.

gift天賦，比“天才”的意義要弱一點，可用複數。如：

He is a man of many gifts.（他多才多藝。）

talent才能，一般不用複數，指通過學習和勤奮掌握的本領、技術和其他的活動能力。如：

As a novelist, he shows great talent in characterization.（作爲小說家，他在描寫人物方面顯出很大的才能。）

2. It's how you use them that counts. 怎樣使用（這些天賦）才重要。

count verb. 算/重要

It's how you XX that counts. XX纔算/重要的是...。

It is not how much you read but what you read that counts.

讀多少書不重要，重要的是讀的都是些什麼書。

count / matter 重要
