when he was just fourteen, he came in first at a jonior triathlon. By eighteen, he was competing all around the world. When Jordan turned 21, his doctor told him some devastating news. Jordan had cancer.

He battled the disease for almost two two years before he was better. He had beat cancer, but he lost a lot of his strength. With the help of his family and friends, Jordan regained his strength. He went on a special diet and began an intensive exercise program to help him develop his muscles.

My whole life I have had to deal with exia is when you look at letters and numbers, and they get all mixed up. You may read a wordthinking it says one thing but, in fact, it sayssomething different all together. Obviously, thismade reading and writing very difficult.

Before someone recognized my problem, I suffered greatly in school. Kids would tease mewhen I read out loud, and teachers would tell me I wasn’t trying hard enough. I became shy anddidn’t want to read out loud or even quietly, I hated reading.

In grade four, I had a wonderful teacher who realized I had a problem. Right away, I was putinto special classes. Over time, I learned to like reading. In fact, I came to love it.

Now, at the age of thirty, I am a published author and a public speaker. So, it goes to showthat if you put your mind to something, you can overcome anything!

As a young woman, I believe that life would beinteresting and always exciting. Then, one day Ifound myself in a job I didn't like and doing activitiesthat I found very uninteresting and ead of making a life for me, I took what came tome.

I decided I need a change, but change seemed so scary. I wasn't sure of the course of action Ineeded to take to make the changes I wanted, and that frightened me. I had an end goal inmy mind, but I didn't know how to get there.

One day, I took the first step, and when I did, I found I asked all the right questions. Once myquestion were answered, the next step always appeared. When something challenginghappened, I didn't procrastinate. I just broke the problem down into parts.

Before I began taking steps, my ideas seemed imposssible, but it was actually very easy tomake changes once I started!
