The average life expectancy of women in Hong Kong has once surpassed Japanese’s in 2011. People think this is the result of major natural disasters, especially the strong earthquake and tsunami in northeastern Japan.

It is reported that the average life expectancy of Japanese men has also increased 6 months last year and now is 79.9 years old. The average life expectancy of Japanese men in the world ranks the fifth. The longest average life expectancy of male is San Marino, followed by Iceland and Switzerland.
