When a friend jokingly suggested that matrimony would allow them to dodge it, they realized it could be a smart way to avoid the payment.

The pair also credited the LGBTQ community for their fight for equality that made the same-sex marriage possible.

"You know what? The LGBTQ community fought really hard for equality, fought against discrimination and in 2015 same-sex marriage was legalised and it was a wonderful moment, a great victory," said O'Sullivan.
