Truth be told, it is. And it’s every man’s job to combat this hegemony of drivel. Why not post something funny or intelligent instead? A little wry humour never hurt anyone.

A beach is a beach, a pool a pool - if it’s not going to make your followers gasp with wonder, it’s probably not worth sharing. But this doesn’t mean you should be leaving your phone in your pocket for the duration: if you stumble upon something memorable, or can frame that epic view of the sea from your balcony in the right light, by all means snap away. Just don’t overdo it - after one or two pictures, people will get the message.
