1. 用作動詞，表示主動給予或提供某物，其後可接雙賓語，若雙賓語易位，用介詞to引出間接賓語。如：
Offer the guests some coffee.=Offer some coffee to the guests. 給客人們來點咖啡。
表示主動願意做某事，其後可接動詞不定式，但不接動名詞或從句。如：
她表示願意開車送我去車站。
誤：She offered driving me to the station.
誤：She offered that she could drive me to the station.
正：She offered to drive me to the station.
2. 除表示主動提供外，還有一個常見用法是，表示在買賣中出價。比較以下句子：
He offered me the computer for 500 dollars. 他開價500 美元把那部電腦賣給我。
He offered me 500 dollars for the computer. 他出價500 美元向我買那部電腦。
3. 用作名詞，表示主動給予或提供某物，其後通常接of短語或不定式。如：
Thank you for your offer of help [to help]. 謝謝你願意提供幫助。
He promised to make an offer of support (food). 他答應願給予支持(食物)。
用作名詞，也可表示“出價”。如：
He made me an offer of 300 dollars. 他向我開價300美元。
I’ve had an offer of $2,000 for the piano. 有人已出2,000美元買這部鋼琴。
英語語法：off用法的三個注意點注意點1：可用作介詞或副詞，基本義爲“離開”“脫落”“中止”等。如：
I’m afraid I must be off now. 恐怕現在我得走了。
Take off your hat in the house. 在室內請脫帽。
We are off for [to] Paris. 我們要動身去巴黎。
He fell off the ladder. 他從梯子上摔下來。
Is the radio on or off? 收音機是開着的還是關着的?
注意點2：用來指時間或距離有多遠，與 away 同義，有時可換用。如：
The exam is only two weeks off [away]. 考試只兩週了。
The school is about two miles off [away]. 學校離這裏大約兩英里。
注意點3：表示休假或不工作，若用作副詞，放在名詞之後;若用作介詞，放在名詞之前。如：
I’ll have four days off. 我要休4天假。
I’ll take the afternoon off. 我今天下午休息。
Mr Smith is off duty today. 史密斯先生今天不上班。
He practised playing the piano in his off hours. 他在業餘時間練習彈鋼琴。
英語語法視頻：none用代詞和副詞的用法說明
1. 用作代詞，以下用法要注意：
(1) 可指可數名詞，也可指不可數名詞;用於“none of +名詞”時，該名詞前必須要用表特指的限定詞(如the, my, these等)。如：
None of this milk can be used. 這牛奶一點兒也不能用。
None of the keys would open the door. 這些鑰匙哪一把也開不開這個門。
用於指可數名詞時，只能指三者或三者以上，不能指兩者。如：
正：Neither of my parents went there. 我父母都沒去那兒。
誤：None of my parents went there.
(2) 用作主語時，若指不可數名詞，謂語動詞用單數;若指可數名詞，謂語可用單數(較正式)，也可用複數(用於非正式文體，且更符合慣用法)。如：
None of this cheese is any good. 這奶酪一點兒也不好。
None of my friends is [are] interested. 我的朋友沒有一個感興趣。
(3) none of us之類的結構除用作主語或賓語外，有時還可用作同位語。如：
We none of us said anything. 我們誰也沒說什麼。
We none of us expected it. 我們誰也沒預料到這一點。
3. 用於類似祈使句的結構中。如：
None of that! 不許那樣!
None of your business! 不關你的事!
2. 用作副詞，主要用來修飾以下結構：
(1) “the+比較級”，意爲“並不因爲……更……”。如：
He is none the happier for his wealth. 他並未因爲他的財富而感到幸福。
He has faults, but I love him none the less. 他雖然有缺點，但我依然愛他。
(2) “too / so+形容詞”，意爲“不太”或“一點也不”。如：
He’s none so fond of her. 他並不十分喜歡她。
My coffee is none too hot. 我的咖啡不很熱。
The price is none too high. 這價格一點不算太高。
