rock the boat
Sure, I agree Smith isn't worth the big salary he gets, but I wouldn’t tell the boss if I were you. Smith is one of his favorites, and he’ll think you're just rocking the boat and making trouble.

cloud nine
I've been on cloud nine all day long - I heard this morning that I got an A on my final biochemistry exam.

My wife has been on cloud nine since I told her the other day I would spend my year-end bonus at the office to take us to Hawaii to celebrate our twentieth wedding anniversary. And to tell you the truth, I'm really looking forward to it myself.
