出國旅行，不可不知的英語口語表達！

上期分享了一些關於旅行的常用表達，本期繼續，來聊聊出國行。和國內旅遊相比，出國旅行需要做的準備更多。機場，問路，打車……都需要清楚地表達。看看下面這些句子對你是否有幫助吧？

在國外旅行時，你應該隨身攜帶護照。

- I may have lost some baggage.

我可能丟了些行李。

- Can you describe it?

你能描述下你的行李嗎？

- It’s a huge purple suitcase with my name tag.

是個很大的紫色行李箱，上面有我的名牌。

Notes: baggage和luggage都可表示行李，但baggage是美式用法。短語“check in”除了表示入住旅館，在這裏是“託運”的意思。

Notes: 短語“run the meter”的意義是“打表”，“meter”在這裏不表示“米”，而是“儀表”。

- When can we get there?/How long will it take to get there?

多久能到那兒？

- In fifteen minutes if there’s no traffic.

不堵車的話15分鐘。

- Can you drop me off at the store? I wanna buy some food.

你能在便利店門口讓我下車嗎？我想買點吃的。

Notes: “no traffic”在這裏的意思是“不堵車”，同樣意義的我們也可以說“without too much traffic”或“no traffic jams”。“drop off”在這裏的意義是“讓某人下車”。
