My voice. Compared to most teenage girls, my voice is significantly deeper. I realized this when I entered middle school and my mom’s friends would remark that I sounded like my dad. This crushed me. Before, I was confident with reading in front of the class because I had good articulation. During middle school, I never volunteered to read because I was afraid my voice sounded weird. As of recently, I have learned not to care that much about it. My voice is my voice, and I have no desire to change it just so other people will be comfortable.
