點滴英語天天學第61期:戀之語(拓展語彙6)

從古至今，戀愛有3個階段。第一階段是“尋求戀情”，第二階段是“戀情帶來的興奮和激動”，第三階段是“戀情的終止”。既然戀愛是我們生活中的一個重要部分，當然有很多表示關於愛情的俚語。下面，我們就繼續來學習它們。

1. horny

釋義：It means to be sexuAlly aroused or in need of sexual release. 譯爲：性興奮的。

例句：Jim is constantly horny. All he ever does is to talk about sex .（Jim總是“性”致高昂，滿嘴離不開性。）

2. hubby

釋義：It means a husband. (A very old derivation of husband.）譯爲：丈夫。與之同意的俚語有：main man，old man，my man，honey man等。

例句：They guy over is Jan's hubby. Isn't he cute? （那邊的那個人是Jan的丈夫，是不是挺帥氣的。）

I hear Julie's got a new main man in her life. They met at a yoga retreat in India! （我聽說Julie有個新的丈夫了，他們是在印度瑜伽療養所相遇的。）

Her old man gets pretty jealous when she spends time with her male friends. （當她和她的男性朋友在一起玩的時候，他的丈夫就嫉妒起來了。）

3. item

釋義：戀愛中的兩個人，一對

例句：Every time I see you, you are with Andy. Are you two an item? （每次我見到你，你都是和Andy在一起，你們是一對嗎？）

4. lovebird

釋義：It means a couple who are openly affectionate or demonstrative with each other, especially in public. 譯爲：戀人。

例句：Look at those tow lovebirds. It's obvious they'er in love. （看那對戀人，一看就知道他們在熱戀中。）
