1. hang by a hair

釋義：To be perilously close to failing, dying, or resulting in a bad outcome. （瀕臨失敗、瀕於死亡或導致壞結果，岌岌可危的情況）

用法：也可以說爲：hang on by a hair。

例句：e.g. As Jack's car ran into a truck his life hung by a hair.

傑克的車撞上卡車時，他的生命危在旦夕。

e.g. After the loss, their chances of getting into the championships are hanging on by a hair.

輸掉這場比賽後，他們參加錦標賽的機會微乎其微。
