阿肯(Akon)，1973年4月30日出生於非洲塞內加爾，美國歌手。阿肯於2004年憑首張專輯《Trouble》中的單曲《Locked Up》而開始受到關注，其後的專輯《Konvicted》中的單曲《Smack That》更令他獲得格萊美獎提名。2007年12月，阿肯憑藉與格雯·斯蒂凡妮合作的單曲《The Sweet Escape》獲得第50屆格萊美獎最佳流行合唱提名[1] 。2011年9月，第63屆美國電視艾美獎揭曉，阿肯登臺獻唱。
Akon【阿肯】出生在非洲西部的塞內加爾，後隨父母來到美國的新澤西定居。新澤西這片土地給了Akon創作hip-hop音樂的靈感，但也同是在這片土地上，Akon因偷車罪經歷了三年的牢獄生活。
監獄生活中，Akon沒有放棄對音樂的追求，把大部分時間用在了hip-hop音樂創作上，並終於在1996年6月29日發行了自己的第一張專輯TROUBLE。專輯以Akon的說唱爲主，還融合了他特有的非洲風格騷靈嗓音，再加上東岸和南方典型的音樂節奏，使得專輯一經發行便受到了廣大歌迷的歡迎。
TROUBLE連續獲得英國榜2周冠軍和R&B榜6周冠軍，首支單曲“Lonely”也在英國冠軍榜穩坐冠軍寶座2周。Akon也被紐約時報譽爲“塞內加爾的驚喜”。
